About Me

Hello, my name is Nusheen Saadat and this is my 9th year teaching at Quail Run.
I was born in the city of Shiraz, in the country of Persia.  I came to America when I was 5 months old, and I grew up in Westchester County, New York, an hour north  of Manhattan.  I have a Bachelors Degree from Pace University in Marketing, with a minor in French and Spanish.  I went to Boston University for a Masters Degree in International Relations and realized that I love being with children and teaching, so I decided to pursue a Masters Degree in Elementary Education from Manhattanville College.  I taught sixth grade and tenth grade honors English before moving to California in 1998.  In California, I taught second grade at a public elementary school in San Lorenzo.  I enjoyed the diversity of San Lorenzo and the ability to brush up on my Spanish skills while trying to empower and inspire the students and their parents.  Later, I took some time off to raise my twins, a boy and a girl, who are starting high school this year!  I’m thrilled to be teaching at Quail Run and have enjoyed the many friendships and acquaintances I’ve made over the years.  In my spare time, I love to relax with a book outside, travel, snuggle with my two Siberian Forest Cats, or go shopping.  Don’t be surprised if you see me at Costco or Target!  I love the Golden State Warriors and look to them for examples of teamwork.  I believe they embody my philosophy to FAIL FORWARD.
I consider it an honor to be a part of your child’s growth and educational experience this year and thank you for your support.  I look forward to an outstanding year at Quail Run.
